Carolina Gårdheim is a soul-driven, intuitive autodidact artist working from her studio in Österåker in the archipelago just north of Stockholm, Sweden, creating what she calls Vibrational Art.
Her artistic intention is to share how she, as a female autistic individual, perceives and experiences the world. She aims to inspire a society that not only acknowledges but celebrates neurodiversity.
Carolina explores themes of vulnerability, safety, and universal connection. Inspired by the beauty of decay in old houses and industrial settings, she uses acrylics, mixed media, and layering techniques to create texture and depth, revealing the hidden beneath.
Her physical and intense process – scraping, tearing, and reworking the canvas – highlights the raw and authentic, transforming perceived fragmented experiences into something meaningful.
Carolina’s art invites reflection on alternative ways of perceiving the world, opening minds to new perspectives and celebrating the value of diversity.
