Monica Prentice is an artist whose work aims to create a calm and harmonious atmosphere — a feeling she experiences herself while painting. Inspired by her surroundings, her subjects often include children, animals, and nature.

Originally from Peru, her roots are reflected in both her use of strong, vibrant colors and the quiet, balanced mood present in her compositions. This combination gives her work a distinctive warmth and emotional depth.

Monica studied at Skinnskatteberg Folk High School and later at Östra Grevie in Malmö, where she focused on ceramics. She worked with ceramics for over 20 years before continuing her artistic journey through painting, studying at Skånska Målarskolan under Ulf Stålhanne from 2004 to 2006.
