Ever wonder who keeps Pictufy running behind the scenes?
(Spoiler: it’s not just computers and coffee.)
Welcome to the first chapter of our Inside Pictufy series, where we shine a spotlight on the team powering our platform.
Meet Petter Wallgren, our COO. By day, he steers Pictufy’s operations. By night (and on weekends), he’s living the good life on a farm - hunting down vintage board games, building and optimizing computers, and curating a growing collection of cat-themed wall art.
Why cats? In Petter’s words: “Cats are the only ones really paying attention.”
How would you describe your work and role at Pictufy?
I’m passionate about connecting art and business. My role focuses on empowering our wall art industry partners with the right tools, resources, and support to succeed. I connect partners with talented artists, provide technical solutions, and handle administrative tasks like contracts and invoicing.
As the product owner of Pictufy.com, I plan, strategize, and prioritize development projects to deliver an exceptional user experience for our partners, artists, and internal team.
What is the best thing about working at Pictufy and your role?
The most rewarding part of working at Pictufy is turning creative ideas into real solutions. Our vision is to build the ultimate licensing platform, helping artists and business partners gain a competitive edge. Projects like the eCommerce Plugin and Pictufy Interiors have received positive feedback from partners worldwide. Collaborating globally and solving challenges together is what makes my role fulfilling.
As someone deeply involved in the day-to-day operations at Pictufy, what sets the company apart in the industry?
Pictufy stands out because of our innovative approach and creative team. By working closely with artists and partners, we gain fresh industry insights that improve our platform and user experience. Understanding challenges from both sides allows us to focus on solutions that have the greatest impact.
Having witnessed Pictufy’s growth firsthand, how do you envision the company’s future trajectory?
Our pipeline is full of innovative projects and tools. I see Pictufy continuing to be a trusted partner for artists and wall art businesses worldwide. By providing global exposure for artists, we keep them motivated while giving partners access to unique and fresh designs for their stores and projects. Pictufy will continue developing tools that help the wall art industry thrive.
Can you discuss any challenges you’ve encountered while working at Pictufy and how you’ve overcome them?
One challenge in the wall art industry is the long process of creating new online products. We addressed this with our eCommerce Plugin, Pictufy Interiors, and API integration, which streamline operations, reduce product launch time, and make it easier for partners to showcase artists’ work online.
What’s your typical day like when you’re not working with Pictufy?
When I’m not at work, I enjoy farm life with my partner, Olivia. Together, we care for 10 horses, 15 sheep, 2 German Shepherds, 2 cats, 5 rabbits, and a lively flock of chickens. I also collect vintage board games and love building and optimizing computers.
From steering Pictufy’s operations to tending to his lively farm and collecting cat-themed art, Petter’s dedication ensures that artists and partners around the world have the tools and support they need - proving that behind every great platform, there’s a team (and a COO with a soft spot for cats… and baby lambs!) making it all happen.
Stay tuned for the next chapter of Inside Pictufy, where we’ll meet another team member driving Pictufy forward and contributing to the work behind the scenes.
