One of my earliest memories is of entering my grandmother's painting studio. There was a small oil painting on her easel and brushes standing in a can. The light and the scent of oil and turpentine captured my imagination. From that moment I wanted to be nothing else but an artist. Granny gave me my first painting lessons and later taught me to use her camera. Along my way I have learned about art making and photography from many others. I enjoy experimenting broadly and exploring new materials and techniques. And I love viewing the art of others.
While I started with traditional subjects and materials in drawings and paintings, my interest has widened to include abstract paintings, drawings and collage; along with photography and digitally created images.
Over many decades now, my work has been exhibited locally, across my home state of California, across the USA and abroad. It is collected in many private and a few corporate collections.
