Giselle Dekel is a mother of 4 and a ‘full time but free time’ artist and illustrator. Giselle was born in Vienna, Austria, but moved to Antwerp, Belgium at an early age where she spent a magical childhood and young adulthood, filled with beer, fries, mayonnaise, and chocolate.
Giselle always had an undeniable love for art and at 16 years old she decided to pursue studies in this field at The Kunst Humaniora school in Antwerp. In her early 20s, she relocated to Israel where she studied textile design at Shenkar College of Design and Art. Years of experimenting and working in the field eventually led her to mingle with her actual passion: illustration.
With deep appreciation for her respectful studies and her initial artistic journey, she moved on to creating playful, witty, yet deep and meaningful pieces. As life can get weary at times, it was essential for the artist to break the ice and share those everyday subjects through art, and simply lighten the mood.
