Ida Kopperud is a Norwegian abstract artist creating intuitive paintings inspired by nature, organic movement, and the emotional atmosphere of interiors. Her work explores the balance between structure and softness, boundaries and flow, resulting in layered compositions that bring grounding, openness, and quiet presence into a space.
Working primarily with acrylic on raw canvas, Ida’s paintings are known for their tactile surfaces, transparent layers, and refined color palettes. Organic and botanical forms often emerge in the work—not as literal depictions, but as impressions of how nature feels.
Originally trained in graphic design, Ida moved fully into painting as a way to explore form, color, and movement more freely. Her painterly compositions translate naturally into surface design, making them well suited for textiles, wallpaper, and interior products.
Today her original works are collected throughout Norway, while her canvas prints are sold internationally.
