British artist Miriam Stayte creates nature-inspired digital art that invites viewers into a dreamlike universe of colour and organic forms.
Working at the intersection of traditional and digital media, her distinctive mixed-media process combines photography, watercolour and drawing. The result is stunning biophilic art that offers a respite from our turbulent world and a calm, meditative experience.
“If I’d been born a generation later, I’d probably have become a video game designer,” she reflects. Growing up before the computer age, she began with paper photomontages; new technology has enabled her to extend this approach and integrate it with a painterly eye for colour and composition.
Originally from London, Miriam studied Fine Art and trained as a Landscape Architect. She works from her studio in Sheffield, UK.
Her work is available as contemporary wall art, fine art prints and digital downloads.
