Marilina Marchica (b. 1984, Agrigento) is a visual artist whose research explores the relationship between memory, material stratification and architectural identity. Her practice investigates the trace as a conceptual and structural element, working through processes of subtraction and formal reduction. Using materials such as plaster, paper, pigments and wall fragments, she creates abstract topographies that evoke silent geologies of time. Her solo exhibitions include Archivi Invisibili (Centro Cultura Contemporanea, 2025), Memoria e Paesaggio (Pesaro Italian Capital of Culture 2024), Custodire l’Immagine (Fondazione Brodbeck, 2024) and Lo Spazio Fragile (FAM Gallery, 2023). Her work has been published in Artapp, AFA Catalogue – Artist Future Volume 1, L’Isola Contemporanea and Studio Visit (Exibart). She lives and works in Agrigento, Italy
