Eduardo Jiménez Aguirre is a Mexican artist based in Aix-en-Provence, France. Raised in a family of painters, musicians, and sculptors, he developed a natural affinity for drawing and painting from an early age.
After studying graphic design at Universidad Iberoamericana, he continued to refine his artistic practice alongside extensive travels across Mexico, Spain, and France. These experiences have shaped a body of work deeply rooted in cultural identity, tradition, and personal expression.
Inspired by Spanish masters such as Velázquez, Goya, and Sorolla, his work often explores themes of nature, portraiture, and traditional scenes such as charrería and bullfighting. Using large formats, expressive brushwork, and striking perspectives, he creates compositions that balance bold gesture with detailed observation.
His paintings convey a strong emotional presence, capturing both the power and sensitivity of his subjects.
